The Trim/ Split tool allows you to cut either side of your video or image at the moment the Playhead is resting. The Split tool will create two clips that can be moved independently. Currently, KineMaster allows you to Trim/Split to 0.1 seconds to the end of a media clip.

To use the Trim/Split tool, tap an item on your timeline, then tap on the Trim/Split button that appears in the options panel on the right side of the screen. The following options will appear:

Trim to Left of Playhead – This removes the portion of the media clip to the left of the playhead, retaining the portion to the right. The remaining clip is repositioned to start at the current position of the playhead.

Trim to Right of Playhead – This removes the portion of the media clip to the right of the Playhead, retaining the portion to the right. The remaining clip is repositioned to start at the current position of the playhead.

Split at Playhead – This divides the selected media, retaining both pieces on either side of the Playhead as separate items. There is no change in the start time of either item.

Split and Insert Freeze Frame – This divides the selected media, retaining both pieces on either side of the Playhead as separate items. The current frame is inserted as an image between them. The playhead is moved to the last frame of the inserted image. The image duration is equal to the Default Photo Duration as specified in the Project Settings.
