Video and image layers in KineMaster are very flexible. You can manually adjust their size and position as soon as you import them. If you need to quickly adjust the media layer’s position in the video frame, the Split Screen tool is what you’re looking for.

The following Split Screen options can be accessed by tapping a media layer. Then tap the Split Screen button in the Options Panel that opens up on the right side of the screen.

Black square – No Split Screen preset applied.

White Square – Scales the media layer to fill the video.

Lower-half White – Scales the media layer to fill the video, but only displays on the lower half. Use the up and down handle to adjust the cutoff point.

Upper-half White – Scales the media layer to fill the video, but only displays on the top half. Use the up and down handle to adjust the cutoff point.

Left-half White – Scales the media layer to fill the video, but only displays on the left half. Use the up and down handle to adjust the cutoff point.

Right-half White – Scales the media layer to fill the video, but only displays on the right half. Use the up and down handle to adjust the cutoff point.

The Cropping (Mask) tool is unavailable to media layers that have Split Screen applied.
